About This Trip
Designed for those drawn to dramatic landscapes and rich cultural heritage, this 8-day north Vietnam tour offers joyful moments: sipping egg coffee on the streets of the Old Quarter in Hanoi, walking scenic trails and visiting ethnic villages through Sapa's rice terraces, gliding past temples and limestone cliffs in Ninh Binh, and waking up on a cruise as sunlight warms Halong Bay.

Itinerary
Welcome to Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi! Heritage landmarks, serene lakes, and rich culinary traditions make it a culturally rewarding city.
Upon arrival, meet your guide and then be accompanied to your hotel for smooth check-in. Have some rest or explore nearby on your own.
- Hanoi
After breakfast, start by picking out a bike at a rental shop - your companion for exploring a different side of Hanoi today. Pedal across Long Bien Bridge, a century‑old icon overlooking the Red River and lush farms below. From here, ride into Hanoi's quiet villages, past vegetable plots and riverside hamlets, and visit a local family to learn about their exquisite bonsai art and daily life. When it's time for a break, wander through a market to sample tropical fruits and refresh with a glass of fresh sugarcane juice.
After exploring the Co Loa Ancient Citadel, enjoy lunch with a local family, savor traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Continue cycling through villages and fields along the riverbank, then take a relaxing cruise back to Hanoi. End your adventure with Hanoi's unique Egg Coffee before returning to your hotel.
Note: The route involves about 15 km of cycling with stops for sightseeing along the way, lasting around 4 hours in total. If you'd prefer a private car, we can arrange it. Please let us know in advance.

After breakfast, take your private car to Sapa and enjoy scenic views along the 5-hour drive. Your driver will stop at convenient points on the way for you to rest and take in the surroundings.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your journey to Ma Tra and Ta Phin villages. A leisurely walk will show you beautiful scenery dotted with rolling valleys and local communities.
Drive back to Sapa town, check in your hotel and relax for the night.

In the terraced hills and mountains surrounding Sapa, the expansive green landscape comes alive with the rich colors of hill tribe communities. Here you'll discover hands stained with fabric dyes and intricate embroidery in shades of blue, red, and green adorning traditional jackets, skirts, caps, and accessories.
After breakfast, set out on one of Sapa's most beautiful trekking tours, visiting Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van villages, home to the Black H'mong and Dzay people. Breathe in the fresh mountain air as you trek through the stunning terraced rice fields against an imposing mountain backdrop. Visit local families along the way to learn about the unique culture and daily life of these ethnic communities.

This morning, you can explore Sapa on your own, and there are also optional activities for you to choose from.

Around midday, depart Sapa returning to Hanoi, arriving in the early evening.

In the morning, your private guide will take you to visit Hoa Lu. Being the first capital of Vietnam, it is an attractive place for history lovers to better know about the Dinh Dynasty (968-980). Next, visit Southeast Asia's largest Buddhist complex Bai Dinh Pagoda to see hundreds of Buddhist statues.
After lunch, glide through Trang An Grottoes by traditional boat, a UNESCO World Heritage site of mystical caves and valleys. Surrounded by forested mountains, drift through tranquil waterways with only the sounds of birdsong and oars stirring the clear water. Watch for white goats grazing on the peaks above as you experience this earthly paradise.

After breakfast, a 3.5-hour drive takes you to the signature Halong Bay for a stunning cruise.
During the cruise, you'll lose yourself in the jungle-clad limestone isles, emerald waters, mysterious grottoes, thick forests, and hidden caves. When the sunset approaches, stand on deck to catch a majestic sunset view.
If you are interested, you can choose some optional activities like kayaking, swimming, and more to enrich your adventure.
Tips: Since you'll have all your luggage with you when boarding and disembarking, keep your cruise essentials easily accessible. This will help you avoid repacking everything each time.

- Halong Bay
Wake up early and experience an interesting Tai Chi practice. Then you will have an opportunity to explore the Thien Canh Son Cave to witness its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Later, a leisurely brunch will be served at 9:30.
Your Halong Bay cruise will come to an end at 10:45 am. After disembarking, you will meet your personal guide and driver at the pier and then take a private transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi (around 4 hours' drive).
In the evening, follow your guide to delight in a street food tour in Hanoi. Stroll around the bustling local streets in the Old Quarter and savor some delicious Vietnamese food just like the locals.
