About This Trip
In this 12-day Japan cherry blossom tour, capture the classic spring scenery in the Golden Triangle with Mt. Yoshino cherry blossoms from late March to mid-April.
Start from Tokyo's shrines and gardens, admire the cherry blossoms like locals, and have a relaxing picnic beneath the pink branches, then head to the Mt. Fuji area to explore both the hot springs and the volcanic landscape. And try something traditional and authentic in Kyoto, from kimono dressing to the sakura-shaped dessert making, before your final exploration of the cherry blossom-covered Mt. Yoshino.

Itinerary
Upon arrival in Tokyo, meet your private driver at the airport for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Settle in and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Beginning at Meiji Shrine, explore the heart of Tokyo with your guide using public transportation. Slow down your pace at this peaceful forest sanctuary, write and paint your own ema tablet, and partake in the Shinto ritual like locals.
Then wander through Shinjuku Gyoen, one of the best cherry blossom viewing places in Tokyo, for your relatively tranquil and peaceful hanami experience through those stunning pink canopies.
Finish the day in Asakusa, where you can find the bustling Sensoji Temple after crossing the eye-catching Kaminarimon and Nakamise street with food and crafts.
Optional Night Sakura Experience:
For more cherry blossom experiences at night, head to the Sumida River Park after sunset, when the cherry trees along the river are softly illuminated, ideal for a romantic stroll and nighttime photography.

Follow your guide to escape the city bustle at Showa Kinen Park, a popular site for your relaxing cherry blossom experience about 1.5 hours from the Tokyo city center by public transportation.
With the fresh spring air, start your day with a morning bike ride through vibrant cherry blossom groves and peaceful garden paths, and capture unforgettable photos of springtime in Tokyo. Around midday, relax under the sakura tree for a picnic with bento boxes filled with seasonal treats. In the afternoon, you can take a leisurely boat ride on the park's lake, admiring the cherry trees reflected in the water and soaking in the serene beauty of spring.

You can climb the Arakurayama Sengen Park on the mountainside first, a popular spot to capture the spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, and the crimson five-story pagoda at once. Then board the scenic cruise on Lake Kawaguchiko for your relaxation, which also offers a good angle for this sacred mountain viewing.
Before soaking in your onsen hotel in Hakone, the final stop of today is Oishi Park for your lakeside stroll among tulips, narcissus, and rape, right against the snow-capped Mt. Fuji as your perfect photo shop.

Take advantage of the Hakone Free Pass, and enjoy a self-guided day of Hakone exploration, for example:
By Hakone Tozan Railway, get off at Hakone-Yumoto Station and continue your cherry blossom viewing at Yumoto Bridge, then board a short bus ride to Hakone Park, the imperial villa and garden, which offers both the view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi.
Take a Lake Ashi cruise from Motohakone to Togendai while admiring the distant mountains and lakeside cherry blossom scenery, and capture the steaming Owakudani on a leisurely ropeway ride. If possible, enjoy some freshly boiled black eggs there and make the flower-filled Gora Park your final stop before your cozy hot spring bath.

Spend the morning at your leisure in Hakone. You can explore the Hakone Open-Air Museum, where sculptures and artwork blend beautifully with the surrounding gardens and mountains.
In the afternoon, make your way independently to Odawara Station to board the Shinkansen to Kyoto. Upon arrival, find your way to your hotel for the night.
