Day 1:Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is a fast-paced city with imprints of both China and France. This morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and first take you to Thien Hau Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau, who is believed to have the power of traveling miles to save people in trouble. Next, head to Ben Thanh Market, simply a shopping paradise for local handicrafts and souvenirs!

After lunch, pay a visit to the War Remnants Museum with an extensive catalog of the shocking legacy of war. Proceed to the former Presidential Palace. Feel the touch of France through visits to the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. All of these are within walking distance. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Note: Currently, Notre Dame Cathedral can only be admired from the outside. Entrance is not permitted during ongoing maintenance and restoration.
