Belem quarter of Lisbon is famous as the starting point of many Portuguese maritime explorations which include Vasco da Gama's great voyage to India. The first stop of your Classic Lisboa discovery is the striking Belem Tower, a symbol of the Age of Discovery. Nearby it, you can see the Monument to the Discoveries, the UNESCO-listed Jerónimos Monastery, and the National Coach Museum.
Along the river, you'll arrive at Alfama, a traditional district that survived the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake. You can walk in its maze-like narrow street and visit a handicraft shop. Later on, stop in Baixa to admire some important squares and then drive along the Liberdade Avenue to the Marques de Pombal Square.
Southwest of Lisbon for about 130km, Evora hosts the best-preserved Roman ruins of the Iberian Peninsula. Today, you will explore the historical center, Roman Temple, Gothic Cathedral, Bone Chapel, and the university in the UNESCO-listed Evora. There are also opportunities to know various handicrafts produced across the Alentejo and experience some of the most defining Portuguese dishes.
In the afternoon, set off to the peaceful Reguengos de Monsaraz for a visit to one of the most important wine cellars in the country and taste the traditional Setubal Moscatel.

Since Dom Ferdinand II rebuilt a destroyed monastery into the stunning Pena Palace blending Gothic, Moorish and Renaissance elements, many other buildings with the same style rose up around it later and soon makes Sintra a land full of impressive romantic buildings.
This morning, mainly focus on visiting the Pena Palace. Then, spend some leisure time wandering the streets of the town that charmed kings and inspired poets.
In the afternoon, move onto Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of continental Europe. Drive along the coastline of the North Atlantic to Estoril and enjoy the wonderful views alongside. And then to Lisbon.
