About This Trip
This scenic itinerary traverses the Norwegian Arctic and checks off several natural and cultural sites. Meet your tour leader in Oslo and start your journey from Svolvær to Honningsvag. Day 1: Arrive in Oslo
Welcome to Oslo, Norway's charming capital city! Find your own way to the hotel either by shuttle bus or taxi (shuttle bus can be pre-booked).
After refreshment at your hotel, start the city sightseeing on your own to see Frogner Park with its well-known Vigeland sculptures, the Museum of Viking Ships with best-preserved Viking age ships, the Royal Palace, City Hall and Akershus Fortress.

Day 2: Oslo - Evenes - Svolvær
After breakfast in the hotel, meet with your tour leader and other participants and then be transferred to the airport for flight to Evenes. On arrival, be picked up and taken to the town of Svolvær. This charming town surrounded by spectacular mountains and peaks is considered as the gateway to the Lofoten Islands.

Day 3: Svolvær - Lofoten Islands - Harstad
Lofoten is well-known for its dramatic landscape of jagged mountains and sheltered bays, cobalt sky and fishing villages under it. Today, you will have a panoramic tour to discover its untouched islands rising abruptly from the turbulent waters of the Norwegian Sea and explore its picturesque villages with fishing huts. After the tour, proceed to Harstad for overnight and dinner.

Day 4: Harstad - Tromso
Situated 400kms north of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø on the island of Tromsoya ringed by grim mountains peak bills itself as the Arctic Gate of Norway. Every year, from the second half of May to the end of July, there are two months that Tromso is bathed in lasting sunlight before it falls into the long darkness of Polar night again. Today, you will be escorted to Tromso to relish in its fantastic polar atmosphere and unique culture. After arrival, check into the hotel and have the rest time at leisure.

Day 5: Tromso - Honningsvag - North Cape
Continue the journey to North Cape, the northernmost point of Europe. Take a short ferry across from Breivikeidet to Svensby and from Lyngseidet to Olderdalen, and then drive along the Kvænangen fjord reaching Finnmark, the largest county of Norway. Either in nature or geography, it's the place where East meets West. Here it is rare to see any hint of human presence, except for a few of Sami encampments and reindeer herds. It is a long journey to the North Cape, but the reward is great.
Arrive in Honningsvag in the late afternoon, check-in and have dinner before enjoying the evening excursion to the North Cape promontory and enjoy the midnight sun.

Day 6: Honningsvag - Alta - Oslo
Have breakfast in the hotel and then depart for Alta, the largest town in the northernmost county of Norway for a flight heading back to Oslo. After arrival, check into the airport hotel and enjoy some leisure time on your own.

It is time to say goodbye to Norway. If time permits, you may like to visit the city of Oslo again for some last-minute shopping before getting to the airport on your own for your flight departing from Oslo.
