Day 4: Harstad - Tromso
Situated 400kms north of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø on the island of Tromsoya ringed by grim mountains peak bills itself as the Arctic Gate of Norway. Every year, from the second half of May to the end of July, there are two months that Tromso is bathed in lasting sunlight before it falls into the long darkness of Polar night again. Today, you will be escorted to Tromso to relish in its fantastic polar atmosphere and unique culture. After arrival, check into the hotel and have the rest time at leisure.
Day 5: Tromso - Honningsvag - North Cape
Continue the journey to North Cape, the northernmost point of Europe. Take a short ferry across from Breivikeidet to Svensby and from Lyngseidet to Olderdalen, and then drive along the Kvænangen fjord reaching Finnmark, the largest county of Norway. Either in nature or geography, it's the place where East meets West. Here it is rare to see any hint of human presence, except for a few of Sami encampments and reindeer herds. It is a long journey to the North Cape, but the reward is great.
Arrive in Honningsvag in the late afternoon, check-in and have dinner before enjoying the evening excursion to the North Cape promontory and enjoy the midnight sun.
