Best Places to Visit in Germany

Situated at the foot of the Alps, the simple town is the transfer station to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle, which was erected in the 19th century. This castle was one of the residences of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, whose cousin was later Empress Sissi of Austria. Due to emotional dissatisfaction, he withdraws from society and devotes himself to constructing his own fairy tale world. His ambitious plan resulted in the Neuschwanstein Castle. Inside the castle, there are numerous swan-themed decorations as the swan represented purity for Ludwig II. Visitors can take a carriage or climb up the mountain to see this fabled castle and enjoy the beautiful flowers along the way.
- ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER
It’s recognized as an important part of the Romantic Road and the Castle Road, two of Germany's most famous tourist routes. Despite the town having been through multiple battles, its ancient monuments have thankfully been preserved with their European medieval vibe.
- MUNICH
Located near the foot of the Alps, the city is one of Germany's major economic centers. It’s also known as the "Village of a Million People" since its retention of the old Bavarian style. The legendary Oktoberfest, one of Germany's largest events, is also held annually here.
- HEIDELBERG
With its meandering lanes, reddish-brown castle, and poetic nature, it is Germany's cultural tourism hub and the essence of romantic Germany. Its Heidelberg University, which became the hub of European science as early as the 16th century, still retains its distinction today.
- BERLIN
It is Germany's largest city. After WWII, the city was divided into two sections. The Berlin Wall ringed West Berlin, which became a West German enclave in East Germany. Later in 1990, Berlin recovered its status as Germany's capital until the country's reunification.
