This morning, travel to the outskirts of Chiang Mai for a cultural experience with a local Lanna family. Walk through the orchard and herb garden, learn about traditional Northern Thai life, and join a hands-on cooking session before enjoying a homemade lunch together.

Return to Chiang Mai in the afternoon and enjoy some free time to relax before the evening's New Year celebrations. You may choose to celebrate at your hotel, join the countdown around Tha Phae Gate, or experience the famous CAD Countdown event with fireworks, live performances, and sky lantern releases. We will be happy to assist with recommendations and arrangements based on your preferred celebration style.

Enjoy a slow and relaxing New Year's morning at your own pace after the previous evening's celebrations. If you can get up early, you can join in the traditional alms-giving ceremony around Tha Phae Gate as a peaceful start to the new year.

In the afternoon, you will visit two of Chiang Mai's most important temples: Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. During the New Year period, the temples are filled with local worshippers making merit and offering prayers for good fortune in the coming year. For a more memorable visit, you may also choose to dress in a traditional Thai costume.

The evening is at leisure. If you'd like to experience more of Chiang Mai after dark, consider a visit to the city's lively night market, where you can browse local handicrafts and sample a variety of street food.

Today you will go to Chiang Mai countryside for a memorable elephant encounter experience. Learn about the elephants' daily care and behaviors, help prepare their food, and enjoy the opportunity to interact closely with these gentle animals in a natural setting. After lunch at the park, walk with the elephants to a nearby water area and watch them enjoy their time in the water.

Return to Chiang Mai and enjoy your final evening at leisure.
