Bangkok to Koh Samui

Welcome to Thailand! Upon your arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, your private guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax at the hotel or take a short exploration of Bangkok on your own.

After a leisure breakfast, your private guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to your first stop: a local flower and vegetable market where you can see how locals do business and experience their daily life. Then head to one of the most famous attractions, the Grand Palace. It will show you its spectacular and fantastic buildings and your private guide will share you some interesting stories about Thai history and culture. Within the palace complex, you will also visit Wat Phra Kaew which enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade.

After lunch, take a long-tail boat along the crisscrossing canals lined with all manner of houses, temples, and restaurants to see the different facets of the local life. The last stop for today is the remarkable Wat Arun (also called 'Temple of Dawn') that stands majestically on the Chao Phraya River and is famous for its exquisite buildings with colored spires and a magnificent sunset view on the river.

Today, your private guide will accompany you to Ayutthaya. En route, stop to see the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace which is also known as the Summer Palace of the Kings of Siam. What makes this Palace interesting is the diversity of buildings. There's a Chinese-style royal palace, a colorfully painted lookout tower, and the traditional Thai style of architecture for the smaller residences. And then you will visit the Historic City of Ayutthaya founded in 1350, once an important center of global diplomacy and commerce until the 18th century. Ayutthaya is now an archaeological ruin and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, characterized by the ancient and magnificent Buddhist complex, including the Wat Mahathat renowned for the Buddha head intertwined by the roots of a banyan tree, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet which was once a part of the royal palace of ancient Ayutthaya, and its adjacent Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit housing a large seated bronze Buddha image. All these attractions give you an idea of the city's past size and the splendor of its architecture.

After having breakfast at the hotel, your private driver will take you to the airport for the flight to Koh Samui - the tropical holiday paradise. Upon arrival, you'll be picked up and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free for you to take a stroll along the seaside or just have a rest in the hotel.

Enjoy a relaxing morning. Then your private driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the airport for the flight back to Bangkok. On arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to shop in the city or just relax at the hotel.

It's time to say goodbye to Thailand! After breakfast, your private guide and driver will escort you to the airport for your departure flight home.
