Taste of Switzerland: Chocolate, Cheese & Wine (April - October)

Upon arrival at the airport, take a private transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Spend the day exploring three of Switzerland's best-known culinary highlights. Visit Einsiedeln Cheese Dairy to learn about traditional cheese production and taste freshly made regional cheeses. Continue to the House of Laderach for an introduction to Swiss chocolate and a tasting of its creations. Round out the day with a wine tasting at a local winery, sampling Swiss wines and learning about the country’s wine regions and traditions.

Take the train from Zurich to Bern. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Travel by train from Bern to Trubschachen for a Kambly Baking Experience. Under the guidance of a master confectioner, learn to make traditional Swiss biscuits, then bake and decorate your own creations.

Continue by train to Lucerne and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Take the nostalgic funicular from Stans before continuing by the open-top Cabrio cable car to Stanserhorn. Enjoy panoramic views of the Alps, Lake Lucerne, and the surrounding countryside from the summit. Take some time to admire the scenery and, if you wish, enjoy local Swiss specialties at the mountaintop restaurant before returning to Lucerne.

Board the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lucerne to Lugano, heading south through the Swiss Alps. The journey begins with a scenic boat ride across Lake Lucerne before continuing by panoramic train through the Swiss Alps. Enjoy changing views of lakes, mountains, and historic villages along the Gotthard route before arriving in Lugano.

Head to Bellinzona for a hands-on cooking experience centered around Ticino's beloved risotto. Learn the secrets behind this regional specialty, prepare it yourself under the guidance of a local chef, and sit down to enjoy your freshly prepared risotto.

After the workshop, spend the rest of the day at leisure, with time to explore Bellinzona’s historic castles or return to Lugano and enjoy its lakeside setting.

Travel from Lugano to Locarno, then board the scenic Centovalli Railway to Domodossola. The train winds through wooded valleys, mountain villages, and dramatic landscapes across southern Switzerland and northern Italy before continuing by train to Montreux.

Visit Chillon Castle, a medieval fortress set on the shores of Lake Geneva, before heading to the Lavaux vineyards.

In the afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting in the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces, with views across the surrounding vineyards and Lake Geneva.

After breakfast, make your own way by train from Montreux to Zurich for your departure flight.
