Itinerary

• Day 1: Tokyo Arrival

  Arrive in Japan, where tradition meets innovation. Upon landing in Tokyo, your private driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax before your adventure begins

• Day 2: Tokyo City Tour

  Begin your day with a visit to Meiji Shrine, a serene Shinto shrine nestled within a lush forest in the heart of Tokyo. Stroll through its grand torii gates and experience the peaceful atmosphere as you learn about Japan's imperial history and Shinto traditions. 

  Next, take a glimpse into Japan's feudal past and the Emperor's residence from the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. Walk along its scenic paths, admire the historic stone walls and gates, and enjoy the seasonal flora that enhances the garden's charm.

  In the afternoon, make your way to Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest and most famous Buddhist temple. Enter through the Kaminarimon Gate and explore the lively Nakamise Street, where you can shop for some traditional souvenirs and classic Japanese snacks.

• Day 3: Tokyo - Nagano, Jigokudani Monkey Park

  After breakfast, make your way to the railway station for a scenic 1.5-hour bullet train ride from Tokyo to Nagano, home to the 1998 Winter Olympics sites and those furry snow monkeys. Once you arrive, catch a local bus (about 40 minutes) to your traditional onsen ryokan near Jigokudani Monkey Park.

  After checking in, head out to the park (entrance ticket included) to catch those superstar monkeys relaxing in natural hot springs, especially in a winter scene against the stunning snow-covered landscape.

• Day 4: Explore Matsumoto Castle and Narai-juku

  Set off from Nagano for a captivating day tour through Central Japan, starting with a visit to Matsumoto Castle, one of the few remaining original castles in Japan and a National Treasure. Enjoy a guided tour and discover its fascinating history and legends. Afterward, stroll along Nawate-dori (Frog Street), home to over 50 shops and cafes, famous for frog-themed goods.

  Next, head to Narai-juku, a beautifully preserved post town along the Nakasendo road. Known for its charming, wooden buildings, Narai-juku offers a glimpse into Old Japan.

  After the tour, return to Nagano for the night.

• Day 5: Nagano - Tokyo, Departure

  Return to Tokyo from Nagano by yourself, then make your way to the airport at your convenience to catch your flight to your next destination. 

  If you prefer to extend your stay in Tokyo for an extra day, you have the flexibility to explore the city at your own pace - whether you choose to revisit your favorite spots, indulge in last-minute shopping, or simply relax and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
