Day 2: Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum
This morning you will begin your trip to Egypt with a visit to Giza. You will explore the legendary Giza Pyramids complex: the Great Pyramid, the pyramid of Khafre, the pyramid of Menkaure, and the Sphinx. Your experienced local guide will tell you the fascinating history and stories behind these ancient wonders and take you to the best vantage spots to capture iconic photos of Egypt.
Next, visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which is quite near to the Giza Pyramids. The GEM houses a vast collection of artifacts from ancient pharaohs, including the Gold Mask of Tutankhamun, the Solar Boat of Pharaoh Khufu, and the 3200-year-old, 82-ton statue of Ramses II.
Note: It is possible to visit the old Egyptian Museum instead, just let us know your preferences!
