Day 3: Blue Mountains Adventure & Featherdale Wildlife Park

Here, you can encounter native Australian species like kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and saltwater crocodiles. You'll join in a shared Bush Tucker Cooking Experience. Following an indigenous heritage bush guide, gather native plants to use as "herbs" and prepare traditional fare like barramundi over an open fire. Sit back by the fire with your guide and listen to the oral history and legends of the Indigenous people while enjoying lunch.
Afterward, at the Riversleigh Fossil Discovery Center, through life-sized models, interactive displays, and real fossil specimens, you'll gain an in-depth understanding of the evolution of paleontology in Australia.

Today will be another day in the Outback Park.
Along with your shared guide, who worked as a miner for most of his life, you'll ride a real mine elevator to descend into the underground mine. Hear first-hand stories of hard work while trying your hand at operating drilling equipment. It would be a rare opportunity to learn about the history of mining.
Later, meet local Kalkadoon artist Barbara Sam for a shared indigenous painting class. Use the native symbols to create your artwork that maps your life story.
