Day 2: Los Antiguos - Lago Posadas, Cave of Hands
Focus today on exploring the UNESCO-inscribed Cueva de las Manos (Cave of Hands). You will reach it by driving about 2.5 hours along Route 40. Lying in the deep canyon of the Pinturas River, the cave is renowned for its striking collection of prehistoric rock art, including handprints, vicugnas and abstract images in different colors. The remarkable paintings - some over 9,000 years old - depict the daily life and hunting traditons of early Patagonian peoples.
