• Day 1: Comodoro Rivadavia - Sarmiento - Los Antiguos

  Welcome to Argentina! You will be greeted at Comodoro Rivadavia airport by your private driver-guide and transferred to Los Antiguos. Along the way, enjoy a fascinating stop at the Petrified Forest of Sarmiento, where primitive conifers and palm trees , transformed into stone over millions of years, lie scattered across the landscape in extraordinary shapes and colors.

• Day 2: Los Antiguos - Lago Posadas, Cave of Hands

  Focus today on exploring the UNESCO-inscribed Cueva de las Manos (Cave of Hands). You will reach it by driving about 2.5 hours along Route 40. Lying in the deep canyon of the Pinturas River, the cave is renowned for  its striking collection of prehistoric rock art, including handprints, vicugnas and abstract images in different colors. The remarkable paintings - some over 9,000 years old - depict the daily life and hunting traditons of early Patagonian peoples.

  After your visit, continue your adventure to the tranquil village of Lago Posadas, where you'll spend the next two nights surrounded by stunning landscapes..

• Day 3: Lago Posadas, Jurassic Environment Around Lago Posadas

  Moring brings a trek across rugged terrain to reach the striking Arco de Piedra  (Stone Arch), exploring the frozen-in-time Jurassic landscapes surrounding Lakes Posadas and Pueyrredon. Later in the day, discover the mysterious Puma Cave, marvel at the surreal hues of the Multicolor Lagoon, and stand where two lakes meet at the striking Isthmus of the Lakes. The adventure culminates at the breathtaking Oro River Gorge, where rugged cliffs frame rushing waters..

• Day 4: Ultimate Road Trip From Lago Posadas to Los Antiguos

  Today's journey leads to the valley of Los Antiguos, following the spectacular Scenic Route 41. Buckle up for Southern Patagonia's most thrilling drive, with climbs from 200m to 1,500m in under 100 kilometers, zigzagging through four surreal ecosystems: arid steppe, fragrant Andean forest, wind-swept grasslands, and the jagged high Andes. Highlights include a panoramic viewpoint of majestic Monte San Lorenzo (3,706 meters), condor sightings, the trek across basalt dams, and sculpted sandstone formations.

• Day 5: Los Antiguos (Argentina) - Puerto Río Tranquilo (Chile), Confluence of Baker River and Nef River

  Crossing into Chile, journey along the breathtaking southern shores of Lake General Carrera, where winding cornice roads reveal sweeping views of Patagonia's towering peaks. 

  As the day unfolds, join the legendary Carretera Austral to witness the mighty Baker River - Patagonia's wildest waterway. A short hike leads to "the confluence," where the turquoise Nef River (fed by the Northern Ice Field) merges with the Baker in a spectacular collision of colors.

  Your day concludes in peaceful Puerto Río Tranquilo, nestled on the lakeshore - the perfect base for the following day's adventure in Chile..

• Day 6: Puerto Río Tranquilo, Río Exploradores Valley

  Today, venture into the awe-inspiring Río Exploradores Valley, where waterfalls cascade from cliffs and hanging glaciers hint at the nearby Northern Ice Field. After passing the serene Lake Bayo, a gentle 30-minute walk leads us to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the vast Exploradores Glacier, descending majestically from Monte San Valentín (4,058 meters), Patagonia's tallest peak.

  For those seeking an even deeper encounter with this frozen world, optional adventures include a boat navigation to the San Rafael lagoon or a walk on the Exploradores glacier.

• Day 7: Puerto Río Tranquilo (Chile) - Los Antiguos (Argentina), Marble Chapels & Maqui River Waterfalls

  This morning, enjoy a boat trip across the electric-blue waters of Lake General Carrera to the Marble Chapels, nature's masterpiece. Centuries of wind and water have sculpted these swirling caves into breathtaking, dreamlike formations.

  Later in the day, journey back toward Chile's Los Antiguos, spiced up with a short, refreshing trek to discover the beautiful waterfalls of the Maqui River. Cascading waters and lush surroundings offer a perfect finale to an unforgettable day.

• Day 8: Los Antiguos - Caleta Olivia - Comodoro Rivadavia, Departure

  Today marks the final chapter of your journey through Northern Patagonia. After breakfast, drive about 5.5 hours toward Comodoro Rivadavia Airport for your homebound flight. En route, stop off at the Reserva Natural Provincial near Caleta Olivia, spotting sea lions lounging on the shore and seabirds soaring overhead.
