The Wall of Hope ceremony takes place every year in Praça do Município in Funchal, usually on the Saturday morning marking the opening day of the Flower Festival. During this ceremony, children are invited to place a flower on the wall as a symbol of their call for peace. Children bring flowers they've picked from their own gardens to the ceremony with their families.

Began in 1979, this tradition continues to be an important part of the event. After the flowers are placed, white doves are released, representing their hope for a better world.

The Allegoric Parade

The procession will take place along the main streets of Funchal, with the route including Praça da Autonomia, Avenida do Mar, Francisco Sa Carneiro Roundabout, and Francisco Sa Carneiro Avenue.

Madeira Flower Classic Auto Parade

The Madeira Flower Classic Auto Parade is a charming celebration during the Madeira Flower Festival, blending vintage cars with beautiful floral decorations to create a visual and nostalgic feast. The event will take place on May 10, 2027, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The parade will begin on Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro, passing through Avenida do Mar (North Lane) and Praça da Autonomia do Mar. Afterward, the vehicles will continue along Avenida do Mar (South Lane), Francisco Sa Carneiro Avenue, and Rotunda Harvey Foster with a display at Francisco Sa Carneiro Avenue until 5:30 PM.
