Prepare to explore a city where history and modern life blend seamlessly.

Yogyakarta's royal legacy and artistic traditions come to life on this half-day city tour. Visit the Kraton Sultan's Palace, the royal residence of Yogyakarta's sultans since 1757. This grand complex, inspired by traditional Javanese architecture, remains an active center of cultural and political life. The vibrant Kraton compound, home to over 25,000 residents, also includes markets, workshops, schools, and historic mosques.

From there, take a walking tour to the nearby Taman Sari Water Castle, once a royal garden and bathing complex, now a photogenic maze of tunnels, pools, and colonial ruins.
The tour continues to Kota Gede, Yogyakarta's historic silver district and former capital of the Mataram Kingdom, founded in 1582. Stroll through its charming lanes and visit a local silver workshop, where artisans craft intricate jewelry using techniques passed down through generations.

After that, transfer back to your hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

Today, step back in time to explore two of Java's most iconic temple complexes: Borobudur and Prambanan.

Your first stop is Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in the 9th century, this impressive structure rises above lush fields and swaying palm trees. Abandoned after the decline of Buddhism, it was buried under volcanic ash for centuries before being rediscovered. Climb to a vantage point (weather permitting) for stunning views of the Menoreh Mountains, then stroll through the complex, admiring its intricate carvings and rich history. Visit nearby Pawon and Mendut temples, each contributing to the region's spiritual heritage.

Afterward, head to Prambanan Village, home to the magnificent Prambanan Temple Complex, also built in the 9th century. Known as the Lorojongrang Complex, this Hindu site features three grand temples, each adorned with carvings that depict ancient Hindu myths.

Next, make your way to Besakih Temple, perched on the slopes of Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano. As the Mother Temple, Besakih is a vast complex of shrines, offering a deep connection to Bali's spiritual traditions.

From there, journey to the Hindu temple of Tirta Empul, renowned for its healing spring waters. Pilgrims come here to partake in purification rituals, immersing themselves in the sacred pools for body and spirit renewal.

Your exploration today concludes at Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave Temple, an ancient sanctuary steeped in archaeological and spiritual significance.

Bali's remarkable landscapes unfold on a day of outdoor exploration. After the light hike, refresh with a coconut water drink before wandering through the Ubud Monkey Forest, a spiritual sanctuary home to 700 monkeys and three sacred temples.

Then, head to Tegenungan Waterfall, where crystal-clear waters cascade into a tranquil pool, surrounded by awe-inspiring views. According to Balinese Hindu tradition, the waters are believed to purify negative energy, making it an ideal spot for a rejuvenating dip.
