• Can I travel to South Korea without K-ETA?  

  Yes, passport holders from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Japan, China Taiwan, China Hong Kong, China Macao, Singapore can be exempt from K-ETA. You will get a pop-up notice during the application process if you are from an exempt country. This policy is valid till December 31, 2025.

• When is the best time of year to visit South Korea?  

  The best time to visit South Korea is Spring or Autumn. Spring (March to May) is the best time to appreciate the romantic pink cherry blossoms, and Autumn (September to November) is the best time to hike Seoraksan to capture colorful fall foliage.

• How long should I spend in South Korea?  

  In general, it is recommended that you spend 10 days or more in South Korea to explore its essential parts. A few days to explore Seoul, the capital city, then spend a few days enjoying the fresh seafood and beautiful beaches in Busan. Moreover, leave some time for Seoraksan, Geongju, and Jeju island, to explore the natural wonders and unique culture of South Korea.

• Can I combine my visit to South Korea with another country?

  Credit cards and debit cards are widely accepted in South Korea, especially in central cities and main tourist attractions. However, you can still get some cash from a money exchanger, ATM, or hotel, prepare for some circumstances where can only use cash to pay.

• How to keep connected in South Korea?  

  It is very easy to keep connected in South Korea. The most convenient way is to activate an international roaming plan, but it might be expensive. Or you can get a prepaid South Korea SIM card, it can be cheaper than an international roaming plan. If you don't need to call, you can rent a pocket Wi-Fi egg to get on the internet.

• What is the tipping culture in South Korea?  

  Tipping is not a Korean custom. In most situations, tipping is not expected, including restaurants and bars, hotels, taxis, and hair salons. If you insist on leaving a tip, it might be rude.

• Can I drink tap water in South Korea?  

  Yes, tap water in South Korea is considered safe to drink unless otherwise marked. If you are not sure, double-check with your guide or travel consultant.
