Countries Reopening For Tourism: without Quarantine

Where can I go? What is required to enter my favorite travel destination? As the world begins to open up gradually, many customers start to think about their new travel plans. So here we provide a complete list of Odynovo’s destinations that have reopened for international tourism, together with their entry requirements.

Egypt

Last updated:  July 30, 2021

Egypt has reopened its borders for tourism since July 1, 2020.

Travelers from all countries are permitted to enter Egypt under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: Travelers must present QR-coded certificates that they have received their full doses of one of six COVID-19 vaccines approved by Egypt and the WHO at least two weeks before their arrival. All non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19 at any of the Egyptian Airports, issued not more than 72 hours before flight departure; Passengers traveling from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris), Germany (Frankfurt), Guyana, Italy (Rome), Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Thailand, the USA, the UK (London Heathrow), Uruguay, or Venezuela, the test and certificate must be taken 96 hours before their scheduled flight. Children under the age of 6 are exempt from providing negative PCR test certificates.

Travel Insurance: The U.S. Embassy in Egypt reported that all travelers must show proof of health insurance upon arrival.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Jordan

Jordan has reopened its border for tourism since September 8, 2021.

Travelers from all countries are permitted to enter Jordan under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: All arriving travelers aged 5 or older must have a medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. Those without a medical certificate will be subject to medical screening. Travelers will also be re-tested on arrival and will need to pre-pay the cost online in advance of their flight. Fully vaccinated travelers need to present the vaccination certificate (in the Arabic or English language only) to airline personnel prior to boarding.

Travel Insurance: The U.S. Embassy in Jordan reported that all travelers must show proof of health insurance upon arrival.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Morocco

International flights to Morocco have resumed since June 15, 2021.

Travelers have access to the Moroccan territory, under certain conditions.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a certificate of vaccination or a negative PCR test of at least 48 hours before the date of entry to the Moroccan territory. Children under the age of 11 are exempt from this requirement.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Morocco 

Turkey

Turkey has reopened its borders for tourism since June 12, 2020.

Travelers from most countries, who meet Turkish immigration rules, are permitted to enter Turkey. Updated on June 30, 2021, flights from Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nepal, South Africa, and Sri Lanka are suspended.

COVID-19 Testing: ALL passengers entering Turkey will need to present a 72-hour negative PCR test or a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. If a traveler is showing symptoms and tests positive for COVID-19 with a verified PCR test, they will be medically quarantined at their own cost. 

Travel Insurance: The government suggests checking whether your health insurance policy includes coverage for Covid-19. 

Quarantines: There are no quarantine requirements for the majority of travelers (with negative COVID-19 test) upon arrival in Turkey.

Kenya

Kenya has reopened its border for tourism since August 1, 2020.

Travelers from 210 countries are permitted to enter Kenya without quarantine, including the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19 issued not more than 96 hours of flying and a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate. If travelers just have a valid COVID-19 PCR test but do not have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate, will be subject to a mandatory quarantine up to 14 days on arrival.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Kenya 

Tanzania

Tanzania has reopened its borders for tourism since June 2020.

Travelers from all countries except India, under normal immigration and border rules, are permitted to enter Tanzania.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19, performed within 72 hours before boarding their flight. 

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Greece

Greece has reopened its borders for tourism since April 19, 2020.

Starting May 14, 2021, travelers from all countries are permitted to enter Greece.

COVID-19 Testing: Travelers who’ve received a full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before arrival are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test. Those who are not vaccinated will need to provide a 72-hour negative COVID-19 PCR test. Children ages five and under are exempt.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines upon arrival in Greece.

South Africa

South Africa has reopened its borders for tourism since October 1, 2020.

As of November 12, 2020, travelers from all countries, under normal immigration and border rules, are permitted to enter South Africa.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19, taken no longer than 72 hours before departure. Travelers under 5 years of age are exempt from the PCR test requirement.

Travel Insurance: Travelers must have medical travel insurance with international coverage that covers COVID-19 before traveling.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Maldives

The Maldives has reopened borders for tourism since July 15, 2020.

Travelers from all countries except Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are permitted to enter the Maldives under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19, taken no more than 72 hours before departure.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines (with negative COVID-19 test).

Colombia

Colombia has reopened its borders for tourism since September 19, 2020.

Travelers from all countries other than India are permitted to visit Colombia under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative PCR Test Certificate for COVID-19, taken no more than 96 hours before departure.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantine requirements for the majority of travelers (with negative COVID-19 test).

Peru

Peru has reopened its borders for tourism since October 5, 2020.

Travelers from all countries other than Brazil, South Africa, and India are permitted to enter Peru under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: Visitors must present a negative PCR or antigen test issued 72 hours prior to the flight to Peru, and have signed the health affidavit.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantine requirements for the majority of travelers (with negative COVID-19 test).

Brazil

Brazil has reopened its borders for tourism since July 30, 2020.

Travelers from all countries other than India, UK, and South Africa are permitted to enter Brazil under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: Visitors must present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines upon arrival in Brazil.

Brazil 

Ecuador

Ecuador has reopened its borders for tourism since June 1, 2020.

Travelers from all countries are permitted to enter Ecuador under regular visa requirements.

COVID-19 Testing: All travelers are required to provide a negative COVID-19 antigen or RT-PCR test taken at most 3 days before arrival, or a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines:  There are no quarantine requirements for the majority of travelers. Quarantine for 10 days required for all travelers without covid-19 test results.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica has reopened its borders for tourism since August 3, 2020.

Costa Rica has allowed all countries in the world to enter by air.

COVID-19 Testing: From 26 October 2020, travelers will no longer need to have a negative COVID-19 certificate before departure.

Travel Insurance: Travellers will need to buy insurance with specific cover requirements and complete an advance epidemiological information form.

Quarantines: From 1 August 2020, there are no quarantines upon arrival in Costa Rica.

Mexico

Mexico has not implemented any entry restrictions for air travel, but travelers arriving from countries affected by COVID-19 will be screened.

Travelers from all countries arriving by air are allowed to enter Mexico. A completed "Cuestionario de identificación de factores de riesgo en viajeros" must be presented to immigration upon arrival.

COVID-19 Testing: Mexico does NOT require a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen for entry.

Travel Insurance: Travelers are NOT required to carry travel insurance for entry into Mexico but visitors are encouraged to carry medical insurance that covers COVID-19 while in Mexico.

Quarantines: There are no mandatory quarantine requirements currently in effect in Mexico. However, travelers showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be subject to quarantine.

Guatemala

Guatemala has reopened its borders for tourism since September 18, 2020.

Travelers who have been in the UK or South Africa in the past 14 days before their travel will not be permitted to enter Guatemala.

COVID-19 Testing: Travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result taken within 72 hours before arrival. 

Travel Insurance:  Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantine requirements.

Croatia

Last updated:  July 30, 2021

Croatia has opened its borders on April 1st, 2021.

Travelers from all countries, under normal immigration and border rules, are permitted to enter Croatia.

COVID-19 Testing: Visitors must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 48 hours before departing to Croatia. A certificate of vaccination (any vaccine) for persons whose final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is more than 14 days prior to crossing the border will also be accepted.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines upon arrival in Croatia.

Spain

Starting from June 7, 2021, Spain will reopen its borders to vaccinated travelers.

Travelers from all countries, under normal immigration and border rules, will be permitted to enter Spain.

COVID-19 Testing: Visitors must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Spain.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: There are no quarantines upon arrival in Spain.

Iceland

Travelers from all countries, under normal immigration and border rules, will be permitted to enter Iceland.

COVID-19 Testing: Visitors must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Iceland. To avoid the 14-day quarantine, visitors will also need to provide an appropriate vaccine certificate (vaccine must have reached 14 days after the second dose or 14 days after the dose of Janssen vaccination).

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: Depends.

Switzerland

Travelers from all countries, under normal immigration and border rules, will be permitted to enter Germany.

COVID-19 Testing: Unvaccinated visitors must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departing to Switzerland. Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Travel Insurance: Not required. But to ensure your health and safety, it is recommended to buy insurance before departure.

Quarantines: Depends. Fully vaccinated individuals and individuals who recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months are exempt from the quarantine requirements. Quarantine is applicable for a traveler entering a high-risk area within the last 10 days. Children are also required to quarantine if there is a need to.
